OPEN SHELTER HOME FOR GIRLS (ICPS) is a centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Women and child development. It is a type of CCI where children (aged 7-18yrs) without parental care, child labour, child marriage child trafficking, street children, run away children, POCSO victim, migrant children, and child substance abusers etc. are the main beneficiary.
Objectives of the Project
Ø To attract the target group of children from their present vulnerable life Situation to a save environment.
Ø To wean the children away from the vulnerable situation by sustained intervention.
Ø To guide the children away from high risk and socially deviant behaviour.
Ø To provide opportunities for education and develop their potential and talent.
Ø To enhance life skills and reduce their vulnerabilities to exploitation.
Ø To reintegrate these children into family’s alternative care and community.
Ø To carryout regular follow up to ensure that children do not return to vulnerable situation.
