Male Injecting drug users project

Supported by NACO & Manipur State AIDS Control Society

The main objective of the project is to minimize the harmful impact of drugs and the spread of HIV infection among Injecting Drug Users and to partners and spouses of these High Risk Group through a comprehensive harm reduction approach and activities, creation of an enabling environment through ongoing community advocacy, outreach services, referral & linkages, sensitization of the general community etc. The project was initiated since 1stFebruary 2003 with a target of 500 IDUs and now it has been increased to cover 600 IDUs in Imphal East District of Manipur.Currently 723 IDUS are accessing services from the T.I  and out of this 13 are reactive and are on ART. So far 710 clients have been referred for ICTC and 723 has been screened for Syphilis testing from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020.
